Meet The Artist

Olivia Parsons is a Studio Arts major at Valdosta State University who will earn a degree in painting. Her artistic inspiration mainly stems from her love for Renaissance, Impressionist, and Romanticist art. These styles inform her color pallets, skin textures, landscape scenes, facial expressions, figure presentation, and over all painting style. Her special love of impressionism explains her tendency to paint every-day, in-action scenes of people and landscape. This is accomplished through her use of oil paints and hogs-hair brushes that create a natural brushstroke texture and allow for layers of color to build up in an intriguing thickness.  Olivia creates fresh and organic images that offer relatable experiences and capture the beauty of everyday life.
